Grace

God supplies perfectly measured grace to meet the needs of the godly.  For daily needs there is daily grace; for sudden needs, sudden grace; for overwhelming need, overwhelming grace.  God’s grace is given wonderfully, but not wastefully; freely but not foolishly; bountifully but not blindly.

~John Blanchard

Grace: Def.

-Divine Love and protection bestowed freely on people.
-The state of being protected or sanctified by the favor of God.
-An excellence or power granted by God.

God gives grace, and it truly is sufficient. We have abundant life, not because of or in spite of our circumstances, but because it is a gift from Him.

Dan has preached on trials more times than I can count. He has encouraged Christians not only to embrace trials and be willing to go through them, not try to get out of them, but also to pray for them. For once we understand that it is in trials we grow in faith and in perseverance, we should desire them.

What I have learned lately is that along with trials comes grace--measured, sufficient, unquestionable grace.

God has taken care of us in ways I will never know. Through grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends, and even those who were strangers until recently, God has provided. Our hearts, though sad and uncertain, are filled with peace and resolve.

Will you pray for a trial in your life? Do you want His grace enough to be willing to go through a hardship to get it?
